Final impression Qufu KungFu school

When I have decided to come here it was for the spiritual side of Kung Fu. What I found instead was an unexpected mix of fun and friendship (the students), spiritual insight up to superhuman skills (the Masters), and caring attention (the translators, the kitchen ladies and last but not least the great Shushu).

I had the opportunity to practice not only state of the art Kung Fu, but as well Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and  Xing Yi. I appreciated a lot the Chinese Traditional Medicine and Mandarin lessons.

Even if I wasn't able to spend more than two weeks, this place slipped into my heart forever, and I feel I'm leaving much richer than the day I crossed the gate of the school. It has been an enlightening experience, full of emotions, sweat, bruises, and laughter; it was about overcoming my limits with teammates help and Masters' advices.
It was my home, and I hope to come back again.

A moment in time / Qufu Kung Fu School

We walked uphill in the early morning, crossing the corn fields behind the Shaolin school . Then Master Wei chose a place, and spread us in two lines in the blossomed peanut field. "Be careful to the plants!" - he said.

Immersed up to our knees in the peanut crop, surrounded by the songs of cycads and doves, our arms started sweeping through the air in the shapes of the Qi Gong - "the eight folds of silk", paced by Master Wei's low, rhythmic voice ..."go....go....go..." As an army of 9 archers, we pointed our imaginary bows to the east, and then slowly to the west...bowing down from one side to another , one could feel the subtle scent of the peanut flowers...
